FMs talks expansion of Iran, Pakistan ties after sanctions

TEHRAN, Oct. 02 (MNA) – Iranian and Pakistani FMs met on the sidelines of UNGA and stressed bolstering economic ties especially in Energy section.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with his Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz on the sidelines of the 70th UN General Assembly on Thursday.

During the meeting, the two sides conferred on world issues, along with regional developments and bolstering ties in politics, trade and economy.

Regional issues and the expansion of bilateral ties were the major focus of the talks. The two sides also agreed to boost Iran’s electricity and gas export to Pakistan in post-sanctions era.

Furthermore Zarif and Aziz demanded more visits made by both sides to broaden cooperation.
